Before becoming a photographer, I served 5 years in the Navy and that was one of the best decisions I ever made. The Navy gave me a purpose, responsibility, the love of my life, and my family. Now, I follow my husband around the US while he continues his career and I raise & homeschool our children. I still blog from time to time, but now the stories have changed.
I hate to be cliché and say,
"I have been taking photos my entire life."
I have. My entire family will tell you that I constantly had a camera in my hand. Disposable, film, digital, a phone, whatever! For nearly two decades I just took as many photos as possible, documenting memories for myself and for others. But it wasn't until I took up blogging and having my kids, that I thought that I might want to have some actual nice photos! So, I learned more about my camera ( still learning everyday ) and how to edit. As time went on, I realized that I actually had a passion for this. The always wanting a camera in my hand stage...wasn't just a stage. I'm not sure how that took 2 decades to figure out but it did and we are here, so it worked out!
I no longer wanted to just take photos for my blog but I wanted to give the gift of captured memories to those that want them. I know exactly how it feels to receive amazing photos and to really cherish them.
